Joshua Collinson from The Ceramic School created POTSY, which was born out of a vision to foster a thriving community of ceramicists and ceramic studios – making it easy to find lessons, hone your craft, buy the right tools, and then sell your ceramics, all in the same space. We believe in the power of creativity and the impact it can have on both artists and enthusiasts alike. Our goal is to create a supportive ecosystem that champions the spirit of independent artisans, connecting them with a global audience eager to discover and celebrate their craft.

At POTSY, we make it easy for artists to turn their passion into a business. Opening a shop is free, allowing artisans to showcase their creations without financial barriers. Whether you’re a seasoned ceramic artist or just starting your journey, POTSY welcomes you to join our vibrant community.

Transparent and Affordable

We believe in fairness. Unlike other platforms, we charge a flat 5% fee, ensuring that our artists retain more of their hard-earned revenue. No hidden costs, no surprises—just a straightforward and affordable way to kickstart your online business. This 5% fee mostly goes to payment processing fees (from Stripe and PayPal).

Unlimited Possibilities

POTSY allows shop owners to upload an unlimited number of products, giving them the freedom to curate a diverse and expansive collection. Your creativity knows no bounds, and neither should your storefront.

You can sell traditional physical products, like your ceramics or pottery tools, and also host auctions, sell subscriptions, sell tickets to events and virtual workshops, and also take bookings, e.g. for accommodation, residencies, studio time or kiln rental.
