Description

This mug was hand painted before being fired, then painted with a layer of wax, after which it was carved. Since it was carved after the wax was applied, all surfaces that hadn’t been carved had wax on them, allowing me to paint over the whole piece with the outline color but only have it stay in the carvings. After being fired once it was layered with a clear glaze on the outside and a mottled green glaze on the inside. This mug is microwave and dishwasher safe. It is about 3.5” tall and 3.25” wide and can hold 10oz comfortably.
